You know exactly how much you earn without having to wait for the labels reports.

2) You have fewer percentages to share with brokers
You will have multiple profit margins on all your musical rights

3) You have no deadlines or contract terms
You will have no constraints to respect and you can do what you think is best for you.

But ….

You will have to deal with your image, distribution, promotion, events, merch and all the business around you.
So being independent artists can be very satisfying and you can reap more benefits and profit margins, but you have to be aware that you have to work hard and work hard to become a professional in the music sector and be able to live on your art.
